OUR STORY
Built out of necessity, run on service
In November 2007 the economy was rough, and Mark Coffman had just been laid off from the dealership where he worked. People weren't buying much new equipment - but they were still paying to keep what they had running. So Mark did what felt familiar: he opened a repair shop, the same kind of small-town shop his dad ran when Mark was growing up.

That first shop sat just west of here on the South Service Road. Before we sold a single mower, we were fixing them - and service is still the backbone of the company today.
​
Ten years in, we brought on Bad Boy mowers. Bad Boy is a family-owned company too, just a few hours down the road in Batesville, Arkansas, and they backed us with advice and support as we grew into a full retail dealership. It's honestly one of the best decisions we've ever made.

At the end of October 2025, we moved into our new home at 141 North Service Road West - same town, same people, a lot more room.

MARK COFFMAN
CEO/OWNER
Founder, lifelong motocross racer, and Beta Ambassador rider. Has worked on bikes, ATVs, and UTVs since he was a kid.

MANAGER/SALES
Oversees sales and financing on the floor and designed our step-through e-bike, the Ridgeline 2.0 AWD.

Mark grew up in his dad's shop, where it didn't matter if you had a lot of money or none - everyone was treated with respect. We still run it that way.

We service what we sell
We were a service shop before we were a dealer. Mowers, Beta motorcycles, and Arctic Cat side-by-sides and ATVs all get worked on right here in Sullivan.

We Ride And Hunt With What We Sell
ON THE TRACK
Mark still lines up at the gate every season in the state motocross series, racing a Beta as a Beta Ambassador rider. That's a big part of why we carry Beta - we know these bikes from the inside out, and we service them in our own shop.
IN THE WOODS
Mark hunts a lot of public ground and wanted a quiet, low-effort way to get deep into it - but the e-bikes worth trusting cost as much as a four-wheeler. So he partnered with a factory and built his own, choosing every component. The result is the Coffman Outdoors all-wheel-drive e-bike: two motors, so if one has a problem you can switch to the other and still ride out.
