What started as a Florence, Italy bicycle workshop became Beta Motor in the late 1940s, when co-founders Enzo Bianchi and Arrigo Tosi began bolting engines onto bicycle frames - combining their initials to name the new brand. Beta went on to become one of the most decorated names in off-road racing, and still builds every bike with a craftsman's attention rather than full automation.
