BETA DUAL-SPORT & ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLES

The RS is a 50-state street-legal off-road platform built to connect trailheads without a trailer, available across four displacements from a nimble 350 to the best-selling, torquier 500, plus limited-production Special Editions dressed in race-level components. Which dual-sport or adventure Beta is right for you?
We'll talk through how much time you spend on pavement versus trail before pointing you in the right direction.
RS — Dual Sport
The RS family is Beta's street-legal answer to "go anywhere, do anything" - a 50-state road-registered off-road platform built across four displacements, from a featherweight 350 to the torquier, best-selling 500. Every RS carries the same road-going hardware - turn signals, mirrors, a horn, full registration - so you can ride from your driveway straight to the trailhead and back without ever loading a trailer.
Below you'll find the standard RS lineup as well as the limited-production RS Special Edition, which dresses the 390 and 500 in race-level suspension for riders who want more performance without giving up street legality.

RS
Dual Sport
4-stroke · 350/390/430/500cc
50 State Street Legal
The RS is Beta's "Go Anywhere, Do Anything" dual sport - 50-state street-legal off-road machines available across four displacements, each built around a 4-stroke EFI engine with twin injectors and a 200-watt high-output stator. The 350 is the most nimble of the bunch, revving eagerly and feeling light on the trail; the 390 adds torque without losing that light feel; the 500 is the best-seller, with a user-friendly engine that makes plenty of torque while still feeling lighter than expected.
All four share a new main frame with a larger backbone tube for reduced flex, tool-less adjustable Sachs ZF forks, Xtrig Flexfix handlebar mounts, integrated traction control and map switching on the handlebar pad, push-button seat removal, fold-down mirrors, and a built-in Voyager GPS navigation system.

RS Special Edition
Limited Production
390 & 500cc
Built for riders who want race-level components without giving up street legality, the RS Special Edition dresses the 390 and 500 RS in "Race Edition clothing" - a 48mm KYB AOS closed-cartridge fork and matching 46mm KYB rear shock replace the standard Sachs units, joined by a quick-release red-anodized front axle, reinforced handguards, machined alloy footpegs, a ZF anodized-aluminum rear sprocket, and a non-slip race seat with a document holder pocket.
Beta builds these in very small numbers each year - the 2024 run sold out quickly - so early deposits are the way to guarantee one.
ALP — Mini Adventure
The ALP is Beta's mini-adventure family - a genuine departure from the trail-only DNA of the rest of the lineup, built for riders who want a 50/50 split between road and trail rather than the 80/20 road bias of a typical adventure bike.
Both versions share a 350cc, 35-hp liquid-cooled engine, a lightweight steel perimeter frame, more than 7 inches of wheel travel front and rear, switchable Bosch ABS, and selectable on-road and off-road riding modes.

ALP 4.0
Off-Road Oriented
350cc · Mini-Adventure
The ALP 4.0 leans into the dirt side of the ALP's 50/50 split, with larger 18"/21" wheels for better off-road manners, a square LED headlight, and wrap-around bodywork built to take a hit on the trail. Available in red or white.
Like the ALP X, it's built around a 350cc, 35-hp liquid-cooled engine with a six-speed transmission and a TFT color dashboard showing speed, tach, odometer, trip meter, fuel level, range, and gear position.

ALP X
Street Oriented
350cc · Mini-Adventure
The ALP X leans toward the pavement side of the split, with smaller 17"/19" wheels for sharper street manners, a round LED headlight, and tapered bodywork with a more streetwise look. Available in dark or light gray.
Shares the same 350cc, 35-hp engine, steel perimeter frame, switchable ABS, and dual riding modes as the ALP 4.0 - the difference is entirely in how it wants to be ridden.

50 STATE STREET LEGAL
RIDE THERE YOURSELF: NO TRAILOR REQUIRED
Every RS and ALP model is fully street-legal in all 50 states - turn signals, mirrors, a horn, and full road registration, right from the factory. That means you can ride from your driveway to the trailhead, connect trail systems by road, or just commute on the same bike you take off-road on the weekend. No trailer, no hassle.
NOT SURE WHICH BETA MOTORCYCLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
RS and ALP solve the road-versus-trail question in different ways - RS leans off-road with full street compliance layered on top, ALP splits the difference 50/50 from the ground up. The right one depends on how much time you actually spend on pavement versus dirt. Come into the Sullivan showroom or give us a call and we'll have an honest conversation about which direction makes the most sense. Looking for a closed-course off-road bike or a trials bike instead? See our Off-Road and Trials pages.
